RECAP

For the second doubleheader Kirsty and Jasmine Bonnici were back in the starting line-up replacing Yana Vella and Denise Xuereb. Although, still committing several errors, the Redcoats had a much improved performance defensively than when the two teams met in Gozo a month earlier. The Curves were, however, impeccable defensively. Despite managing 11 hits and having 12 base runners, the Redcoats could only manage to score a single run. When there were runners in scoring position the Redcoats did not manage to get them home, stranding runners on the bases in 6 out of the 7 innings. Kacey Grima and her mother Michelle supplied most of the offense going 3-for-4 and 2-for-3 respectively, with Kacey getting the only RBI

The Curves, on the other hand, took full advantage of the defensive miscues as well as the walks allowed by the Redcoats. With just 3 hits they managed to score 5 runs. This win put the Curves on the brink of clinching the best-of-7 Championship Series with 3 wins out of 3 games.
