Tomorrow morning, the Redcoats U15 softball team will be on a flight to Treviso, Venice to compete in the SummerDays XV International Tournament.

Their commitments start against Softball School of the host club Friul’81, on Friday morning. Then they have three games on Saturday starting against Stars Ronchi, followed by a game against La Loggia. Later they will face Castionese softball. The biggest game will take place early Sunday morning when the Redcoats face, non other than Italy’s U13 Softball National team. The tournament will conclude with the placing final on Sunday afternoon.

Participation in this tournament was made possible with the financial assistance that the Redcoats received from SportMalta. Visit Gozo provided the Club with several souvenirs which the players will give to their opponents along with a Redcoats pin. The intention is to promote Gozo with the participants of the tournament, and to create long lasting friendships with the other clubs.

The Redcoats U15s will also be sporting their new uniforms with a unique design.

Much work have gone into the preparation of the team to be in a position to compete against Italy’s best. The players and their coaches should be congratulated for their efforts.
