The European Week of Sport aims to promote sport and physical activity across Europe

For the second year running the Ghajnsielem Redcoats joined the two million other Europeans from 27 countries in over 7,500 events during the European Week of Sports.

The Redcoats are organising three training camps spread over a week starting on Thursday, September 15. There will be a Baseball Training Camp for minors open for boys and girls 6 to 9 years old, another Baseball Training Camp for boys 9 years and older, as well as a fastpitch softball training camp open for girls 10 years and older.

The first six sessions will be held at the Ghajnsielem Primary School and the final three sessions are scheduled for the Ghajnsielem Football Ground. These sessions will be free and are open for anyone who would like to try out baseball or softball. These three training camps will also serve as preparation for the respective teams of the Redcoats for the upcoming season.

The European Week of Sport aims to promote sport and physical activity across Europe. The Week is for everyone, regardless of age, background or fitness level. With a focus on grassroots initiatives, it will inspire Europeans to #BeActive on a regular basis and create opportunities in peoples’ everyday lives to exercise more.
