Posters 14-15

With cooperation from the parents as well as the players all efforts will be made so that those playing for the Redcoats will continue to develop technically and physically within an environment that is educational and formative.

This season the Ghajnsielem Redcoats will continue to pursue their objectives to promote baseball and softball in Gozo and to get more youths to play this wonderful game. In order to achieve these objectives the Gozo Baseball & Softball League was established. The League will be responsible to organise competitions for teams, and eventually clubs, based in Gozo. The first such competition will be the Softball Division and will be played in autumn of this year.

The players participating in this competition will be drafted into four teams. The teams will play two rounds against each other. At the end of the two rounds there will be a post season double elimination tournament to determine the winner of the competition.

There will be two games every weekend. The sessions will be on Saturdays from 2pm until 4pm. During the first hour there will be two teams playing a competitive game against each other while the other teams practice. The teams that practice during the first hour play a game during the second hour and vice versa. In this manner the sessions will be more productive and the participants will have more fun.

The first two sessions will be held in the morning from 9:30am till 11:30am. First session will be on Saturday, September 20 at the Gozo Stadium, followed by Saturday, September 27 at the Sannat Ground. On October 4 the practice session will be at the Kercem Stadium from 2pm till 4pm..

Over the past two seasons the Ghajnsielem Redcoats have tried their best to make the experience of playing baseball and softball in Gozo an enjoyable and memorable one. With cooperation from the parents as well as the players all efforts will be made so that those playing for the Redcoats will continue to develop technically and physically within an environment that is educational and formative.
