The Ghajnsielem Redcoats celebrated the end of a very successful season with a softball game between the under 12 members of the club, at the Gozo Stadium. Prior to the game they also took the opportunity for a photo shoot for the entire youth squad. It was a great athmosphere with several parents attending the bar-be-que that followed at the Universal Sports Bar and Grill, overlooking the Stadium itself.

The Redcoats had several reasons to celebrate. The Club once more managed to double the number of youth players that participated in the competitions organised by the Association. During the 2013/14 season the club competed with four youth teams made up of forty players.

In October 2012, the Club started with one all-girls team made up of 13 girls. By the end of that season the Club had two youth teams made of over twenty boys and girls. During the 2013/14 season the club competed with four youth teams made up of forty players. There was also great improvement by the players who started the season with the club. This was evident from the performances and the results in the last few games to close the season. The Tee-Ball team managed to win the only tournament that was organised by the Association for teams of that category, when they went to Marsa and won all three games in a quadangular, one-day tournament. Winning the MABS Youth Baseball Major League was one of the objectives at the start of the season. The Ghajnsielem Redcoats did not just win the league but dominated, winning all their road games in Malta in emphatic fashion.

The youths are now looking forward to the Gozo Cup Softball Tournament that will start on Friday, June 27 and conclude with the Cup Final on Monday, July 21. Details of the tournment to follow soon.
