The younger Redcoats Softball team deserve most of the praise as they made their more experienced squad members work hard to win both games.
The two Redcoats’ youth teams played each other twice today in game 3 and game 4 of the MABS Youth Softball Minor League. Both teams playing solid defensively, however, offensively Redcoats Softball could not match the fire-power of Ghajnsielem Redcoats.
The more experienced Ghajnsielem Redcoats defeated Redcoats Softball 8-1 and 5-0 respectively in 2 entertaining games. The younger Redcoats Softball deserve most of the praise as they made their more experienced squad members work hard to win both games.
Both teams have now played 4 games with Ghajnsielem Redcoats having a 3-and-1 record while Redcoats Softball are still looking for their first win.
The last 4 remaining games of the MABS Youth Softball Minor League for our 2 teams are against the two Mellieha teams, the Grand Slammers and the Blue Jays. Let’s hope both our youth teams continue to play as well as they did today for the rest of the season.
