Session 10 of ACTIVE START introduced tug-of-war to the multi-sport athletes that are attending the programme. The boys and girls enjoyed the challenge and are already looking forward to their next opportunity to try this fun game again.

Tag Rugby featured prominently again in this session with the players taking turns to score a try while their coach defended. It was then their turn to prevent their coach from scoring a try – the police chasing after a bad guy. The participants took further pleasure in throwing baseballs at a pirate with significant improvement in their throwing motion. Kicking a football past their diving coach also gave the players much satisfaction.

With the autumn schedule coming to an end ACTIVE START has achieved its initial objectives. The boys and girls are improving their agility, balance, and coordination while being exposed to various sports and fun games. Most importantly, however is that they are all having a fantastic time.
